We made a tote bag, pochette, long wallet, and cushion cover from an obi made with pure gold thread. Owl’s feathers were stitched individually using the double-sided embroidery technique and attached to the bags. The bags were also sewn manually to take advantage of its texture.
They are lighter than they look and have many pockets inside. When the bags become worn, you can remove and wash the works, then attach them to new ones.
