Design Drawing of the Aurora Butterfly
This design drawing was created based on a vision shared by our client, Mr. Murakami, who requested a butterfly featuring the vibrant, shifting patterns of the aurora.By employing our proprietary double-sided embroidery technique to hand-stitch meticulously dyed threads, and further layering them with colored gold and metallic lamé threads, we achieved an exquisite finish. The colors fluidly transform depending on the viewing angle, beautifully replicating the mesmerizing luminescence of the northern lights.

A 72mm specimen of the Idea stolli butterfly, collected by Mr. Iwakama on Amami Oshima Island on May 18, 2016.Due to the complex, intricate patterns of the wings, we utilized a specialized shading and texturing technique on the white sections. This meticulously replicates the unique, organic depth of color found in the original specimen.
